Day one!

We are home after a full day of faire. Aching feet, aching cheeks from smiling so much (we had a blast!). Many memories, and it will only get better!

Yes, it rained, but not until nearly 5, so no 5:00 joust. I am too exhausted right now to write much. I am doing laundry because my son could not seem to understand that he had to NOT lie on the ground. I hope that the Spray-n-wash, the tide with bleach, and the Clorox 2 can make a dent in his sleeves of mud. We may have to wash it twice...

So, those of you in the area - go to the Des Moines Renaissance Faire in the new, lovely Festival Park (located on Dean Avenue, attached to Sleepy Hollow Sports Park. If you can get to the State Fairgrounds, Dean Avenue runs immediately south of the grounds. Turn east, and just follow the road, around the curve, down the hill, and you will see Sleepy Hollow.

Come in garb if you like! We'd love to see you!!!!
