Day 1: Vacationitis

Ahhh...... I am sitting on the couch, with my favorite fleece blanket over my legs, checking email and trolling the web for interesting, non-work related items. "One Crazy Summer" is playing on Comedy Central, my son's toys are picked up, the dishwasher is running, and all is good in the world.

I'm guesing I have about an hour before I get bored.

It looks like you're stuck with "In Search Of..." on ScFi, but there's a few Star Trek DSN and NG episodes coming up on Spike. Along with a MacGuyver episode (a favorite of mine) and City Confidential on A&E, narrated by Captain Clark Terrell of the USS Reliant.

Have fun! :)

I ended up choosing "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" as my background noise earlier... I am now going to dust the house. Then, I may go shopping, just for the novelty of not having an eleven-year-old whining while I try to attempt to find a decent pair of dress shoes I can wear to work (five attempts so far, none of which has gotten me even part of the way through one aisle of shoes, let alone to the point of trying anything on). I just have to be back by the time school gets out, as my son is bringing a friend over to play video games after school (more on that later).

Hello from Michigan! (This is your coworker DC from 432) I get to watch my Lions loose twice this week! How's everything back in cornvile? I'm over at the local community college in their public lab web surfing. My train was 6 hours late Saturday and missed my connection from Chicago to Holland.
They got a bus for us to take us up. I got here about 1 am Sunday morning. That doesn't beat the time the train was 8 hours late (about 4 years ago) when they put everyone up in a hotel, gave us some cash for food and took the connection the next day. I was hoping they would do the same this time and I was going to hang out with my friend Marc from college who lives in Arlington Heights. They put everyone else in a hotel this year, except those going to Michigan they charter a couple buses (one going up to Holland and Grand Rapids and the other over to Detroit.) If your board, have Ian invite a bunch of friends over and they can't drive you nuts! :)
