Thanks to the Battlestar Galactica Miniseries, I managed to get two of the three layers of my red bodice cut out (I had to iron the fabric first), and finished the gathering stitches for the yellow overskirt (cartridge pleated, and luckily turned out that it shrank a bit in the dryer, which means I don't have to turn up the hem at all! The red also shrank, so I don't have to hem that either. This will save me about 6 hours of work.)
Very productive evening, even after the car fiasco...
