I just bought my son a new (old) computer at the surplus sale. I also got him a 17in monitor.

Yes it is one of the very first G3 mini-towers (266 MHz), and no, it does not run MacOS X. All he needs is 9.2.2, as all of his games are pre-X. He's not getting online any time soon.
He's going to be pretty excited, even though it isn't a G4 (they had one for $20, but someone got to it before I did).
