The jeweled piece is part of a Christmas ornament that I bought at Hobby Lobby. It had three peacock feathers in it to start, but there were ugly jewels glued to the backs of the feathers. So, I took apart the ornament, pried up the glue and the feathers, and threw them in the trash where they belonged. I then took 4 black ostrich plumes (I could only find four), one white ostrich plume, and three new peacock feathers. I sawed off part of an old paintbrush, and covered it with black ribbon. I cut the feathers to length, and got happy with the glue gun. 20 minutes later, I had a fan! Yippee!!!!
